About Chargetrip

Chargetrip is building next-generation routing and telematics software for sustainable mobility by offering Smart EV Routing as an API based SaaS platform.

Our routing engine uses over fifteen different (dynamic) variables to calculate the real-time range for any electric vehicle (EV). Proprietary algorithms then compute the best route to a destination, including the optimal charge stations in between, specific to that journey, business logic, and preferences. Built-in predictive models optimise for total travel-time and travel-costs.

Chargetrip’s API is easy to integrate into existing charge-, navigation-, and telematic applications, optimising the UX for EV-drivers and the TCO of EV-fleets; owned, leased, rented, shared and autonomous. Our current customers include the Norwegian EV Association, Porsche, EnBW, EDP, and Be:Mo from Total. On average, over 150.000 EV drivers use our software every month; equal to 2% of all EV’s in the world.

We are a diverse, international team of engineers, product designers, and clean-tech lovers — with a proven leadership team and the backing of some of the world's greatest mobility and impact investors. Chargetrip HQ is in Amsterdam, with satellite offices in Bucharest, and St. Moritz.

About the job

Chargetrip is looking for an entrepreneurial Business Development Manager focused on the Mobility sector with a hands-on mentality who is excited about contributing to the success of a cleantech SaaS scale-up that is on a mission to accelerate global mass EV adoption.

What you'll be working on

At Chargetrip you will be part of our commercial team working alongside our CCO and our other business development managers. Your primary focus will be to develop commercial relationships with mobility companies in Europe and the US, like automotive manufacturers, Tier-1,2,3-suppliers, fleet operators, and mobility service providers; large and small, legacy and new. You take pride and ownership in what you do and can use your existing network to help Chargetrip grow to its full global potential.

What we're looking for

💪 You are hands-on and thrive in a scaleup with a startup mentality. At the same time, you are able to navigate large organizations. Ideally, you have a proven track- record in both.
💪 You do not hesitate to cold-call, negotiate deals, or ask for a signature. Simultaneously, you have patience enough to provide potential customers with sound advice before they can make a choice.
💪 You have experience selling e-mobility SaaS products and have developed a strong network of relevant contacts.
💪 You can map international clients, fill a commercial pipeline, develop commercial processes for today and those that prepare the company for the future.
💪 You have a keen interest in our technology roadmap and are able to coordinate priorities based on customers’ needs with the development team.
💪 You are interested in and have knowledge of the energy transition.
💪 You are fluent in English and German both written and spoken.
💪 You enjoy being abroad for several days a month regularly.
💪 You have 8 -12 years of relevant working experience; experience with software for mobility is a strong plus.
💪 Preferably you can work from our HQ in Amsterdam, but working remotely is certainly not a dealbreaker.
